We are seeking a Warehouse Technician to manage material logistics in the Lightower central warehouse. This role ensures the timely turnaround of material requests and receipts-both physically and within the Oracle accounting system-while maintaining inventory control and administering periodic cycle counts. The position requires frequent lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages typically weighing 25-35 lbs., with occasional items up to 70 lbs.

The base range for this contract position is $15 - $23/per hour, depending on experience.

We are seeking a Warehouse Technician to manage material logistics in the Lightower central warehouse. The position requires frequent lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages typically weighing 25-35 lbs., with occasional items up to 70 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Receive inventory items via financial/accounting software.
- Physically locate and organize inventory items.
- Process non-inventory items per Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Handle decommissioned inventory items returned from the network.
- Resolve receipt vs. invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable (AP).
- Process standard and freight shipments through shipping vendor portals.
- Maintain detailed shipping logs for each transaction.
- Issue inventory items to projects manually or automatically within financial/accounting software.
- Stage, reserve, and allocate inventory items per system requests.
- Create and maintain inventory item IDs in financial/accounting software.
- Perform periodic cycle counts and physical inventory (PI) assessments.
- Maintain and establish BIN designations for inventory storage.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel within the Lightower footprint as needed.
- Must pass drug screening and background check.
- OSHA Fork Truck training and experience (preferred).
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in a warehouse and/or purchasing environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management within the Telecommunications/ISP/Fiber Optic industry.
- Strong MS Office and data entry skills.
- Experience with Oracle financial software.
- Familiarity with vendor online portals for procurement and logistics.
- Understanding of UPS/FedEx shipping software.
