Industrial Painter Assistant

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Painter Assistant to prepare parts for painting by sanding, filling, grinding, buffing, and masking. The ideal candidate will apply primer with minimal defects, maintain paint equipment, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, mask, and paint materials according to work orders.
- Set up and maintain painting equipment safely; perform routine maintenance on the paint booth.
- Mix and apply primer, troubleshoot paint issues, and report material shortages.
- Inspect surface finishes, address blemishes, and ensure product quality meets specifications.
- Follow all safety, quality, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while communicating effectively with team members.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in automotive or industrial painting, including the use of spray guns.
- Ability to read part drawings and work efficiently on multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in applying correct paint thickness to meet quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and work ethic.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing repetitive motions.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and hazardous material handling.
