We are a leading industrialsized saw manufacturer that also designs and builds material handling systems capable of transferring up to 100000 pounds of material. Our core capabilities include machining metal fabrication and assembly.
Purpose of Position :
The Manufacturing General Manager is responsible for overseeing the companys manufacturing operations ensuring compliance with quality standards production goals and ontime service delivery while maintaining a safe work environment. This position requires handson leadership and management experience in a manufacturing plant with expertise in welding machining laser cutting painting and electronic controls. The General Manager will manage timelines and budgets ensure technical performance provide regular reports and adjust plans as necessary to mitigate risk.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Oversee daytoday operations including planning production and shipping functions.
- Develop oversee and maintain scheduling budgeting and technical performance.
- Allocate resources effectively to optimize results.
- Coordinate with production teams and support functions to ensure timely and quality completion of task orders.
- Implement proactive risk mitigation measures.
- Maintain communication with other functional managers regarding projects and operational decisions.
- Monitor operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collect and analyze data to identify inefficiencies reduce waste and control overtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to recruit manage and develop manufacturing staff.
- Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance production quality and efficiency while reducing costs within a lean manufacturing environment.
- Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarking tools to drive improvements.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and foster a culture of safety.
- Provide technical oversight and support for manufacturing processes including welding machining laser cutting painting and electronic controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Required).
Minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing plant management including leadership roles.
Strong written oral and listening communication skills.
