Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday – Thursday) | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Friday & Saturday)
Hours: 56 Hours Per Week

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Shop Trainee to join our dynamic team and support experienced technicians across various production areas, including Winding, Stacking, Assembly, Tanking, Insulation, and Fabrication. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians across multiple production workstations, gaining hands-on experience in diverse processes.

• Read and accurately interpret manufacturing instructions, Bills of Materials (BOM), and production schedules.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

• Maintain focus, follow directions, and consistently demonstrate a positive attitude.

• Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and workplace regulations.

• Lift, move, and handle materials up to 50 lbs as required.

• Maintain a strong attendance record and punctuality.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support production goals.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-3 years of manufacturing experience required.

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; prior work experience or training is a plus.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.

• Ability to pass a nationwide criminal background check.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, basic correspondence, and memos.

• Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, and working with fractions/decimals.

• Basic computer proficiency to navigate job-related software and systems.

• Good problem-solving abilities with the capacity to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive and focused work ethic.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, using hands, reaching, and moving in various positions, including stooping, kneeling, and crawling.

• Ability to lift:

o 10 lbs regularly

o 25 lbs frequently

o Up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Specific vision abilities required include peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles.

• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and elevated workspaces.

• Moderate noise levels typical of an industrial environment.
