Pay Rate : $18.00-29.00 / hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking highly skilled Structural Fitters and Welders to join our fabrication teams in Tulsa, Sapulpa, Sand Springs, and Claremore, OK . This role is essential in ensuring the precise fitting, welding, and assembly of structural steel components for complex projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG and Flux Core welding , blueprint interpretation, and fabrication while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards .
Key Responsibilities
- Fitting and Welding :
o Lay out, fit, weld, and assemble structural steel components based on blueprints and job specifications.
o Perform fillet, tack, and full penetration welding using MIG and Flux Core welding techniques .
o Work with stainless and carbon steel materials while ensuring high-quality standards.
o Utilize jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments to position materials accurately.
o Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, welding symbols, and tape measures .
o Ensure components are correctly aligned and prepared for welding and assembly.
o Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other power equipment in a safety-sensitive environment.
o Conduct structural tests, welding tests, and quality inspections on all finished work.
o Perform precision TIG welding on .065 wall stainless steel tubing and 5-6 inch pipe saddle runs (where applicable).
o Verify that all welded components meet company and industry standards.
o Adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations while working in an industrial setting.
o Perform pre- and post-welding inspections to maintain compliance with specifications.
o Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
o Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and quality control teams to meet project deadlines.
o Assist in training new employees on fitting and welding best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
o Minimum of 2 years in structural fitting and welding (pipe fitting experience preferred for select roles).
o Welding School Certification or equivalent will also be considered.
o Proficiency in MIG, Flux Core, and TIG welding techniques.
o Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and welding symbols .
o Strong knowledge of industry safety protocols and fabrication procedures .
o Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and structural steel materials .
o Candidates must pass required welding qualification tests , including but not limited to :
2G MIG Horizontal with Bend Test
2G Flux Core - Radiographed
Plate Double Bevel with Backing Bar
3G MIG Root with Backing
1G Flux Core Fill and Cap
2G & 3G MIG / Flux Core Plate Tests
6G Pipe Welding for specialized positions
o Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods in an industrial setting.
o Work in a safety-sensitive position with exposure to hazardous equipment and materials .
o Pass criminal background checks, drug screenings, and pre-employment testing .
