This role will involve collaborating with engineers, programmers, and project managers to ensure the technical content is accurate, clear, and tailored to the audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and edit technical documents, including reference and product manuals, user guides, and procedural documentation.
- Determine the most effective publication type for the project (print, photos, or video).
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and project managers to understand specific products or processes.
- Research product samples to ensure a thorough understanding of the product.
- Assess audience needs and adjust the tone and technical terms for clarity.
- Plan the writing process, establish timelines, and meet deadlines.
- Create and maintain an ongoing project spreadsheet with notes and progress updates.
- Design or collaborate with graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and visual aids.
- Evaluate existing content and propose innovative improvements.
- Maintain detailed databases of reference materials, including research and design specifications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
