Description :
The Contracts & Product Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining and managing customer compliance requirements with Standard Calibration’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Additionally, the Contracts & Product Quality Manager is responsible in assisting the DLA Contracts Manager / Inside Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager, Marine Department and Cleanroom to identify customer’s complex quality requirements and ensure they are within SCI’s capability. They will ensure all Products and Equipment sold and / or received conforms to the customer’s requirements and specifications. They will build and maintain relationships with customer quality departments to provide technical support as a subject matter expert and liaison for SCI during quality inspections and audits.
Roles and Authorities
- Review contracts for customer quality requirements and specifications
- Review, and ensure compliance to, customer issued documentation such as statements of work, master service agreements, or purchase orders
- Review documents and procedures for compliance with commercial and government standards
- Perform inspection of product received from vendor utilizing drawings, calibrated equipment for measurement and recording results on appropriate documents.
- Navigate many systems to find appropriate documents (drawings, specifications, forms, etc.) required to perform task
- Support the Director of Quality for any non-conforming product and maintain Discrepancy Report Log
- Provide technical advice to customers and other departments within the organization
- Interact with DoD and commercial activities as the subject matter expert and maintain good customer relations
- Has the authority to ensure all work performed within the scope of SCI’s combined QMS meets customer requirements including stop work authority for quality & safety
- Be familiar with all aspects of the company to provide valuable input from a Contract and Quality Perspective
- Assist DLA Contracts Manager in delivery of product utilizing company systems when required
