The QA/QC Lab Manager position oversees the staff and day to day responsibilities of four asphalt labs ensuring a quality product by testing asphalt and related raw materials.

Qualifications
· Management experience
· TDOT and MDOT asphalt certifications
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
· Knowledgeable in Marshall and Superpave asphalt designing and testing methods
Duties
· Oversee 4 asphalt labs
· Manage and grow current team of lab technicians
· Maintain record keeping between Labs and DOTs
· Training current Technicians
· Recruiting and hiring of new employees
· Run asphalt and aggregate tests when needed
· Attend future certification courses related to asphalt products
· Maintain strong relationships between contractor and DOT officials and consultants
· Coordinate aggregate testing with Gravel Pits and crushing operations
· Manage and maintain lab equipment
Requirements:
- Must have valid driver license with clean driving record.
- Attention to performing duties in a safe efficient manner.
- Willingness to work some Saturdays.
- Stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, sitting in vehicle with or without assistance is required.
- Background and Substance Abuse Testing will apply.
