What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025/26 Teacher, Preschool position at Standard Elementary School District?
Supervised and evaluated by the building principal, in coordination with planning by the Director of Student Support Services, and in cooperation with other professional staff, provides services to students as designated on the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to include instruction in basic pre-academic skills such as reading, language arts, and mathematics as well as social skills, communication skills and adaptive behavior skills. Credential: A valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential with an Early Childhood Special Education authorization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree, including courses needed to meet credential requirements; coursework in the developmental and psychological characteristics of at-risk students, mild/moderate special education students, and regular education students; training in techniques and methods for effectively planning and implementing lessons to develop identified student needs.
Experience: Successful experience as a teacher, three or more years in a special education (or regular education) setting is desirable.
