GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Production Bagger & Filler is responsible for the accurate and efficient filling and bagging of products according to production specifications. The production associate will be trained on multiple functions within our production area. Each production job function plays a crucial part in ensuring we produce a finished product that is made cost effectively and properly, meeting all standards for both quality and compliance. The position requires attention to detail, quality control, and teamwork to ensure the timely completion of production goals while maintaining high standards of product quality and safety. The Production Bagger & Filler will be a key member of the production team, working closely with other associates to ensure proper assembly, packaging, and shipment of finished products.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepping all materials prior to production, ensuring we have the right items, quantities while also conducting a visual inspection of both the raw materials and packaging materials. 
  • Filling and feeding the machinery with the correct foam or fiber based off the work order for each production assignment. 
  • Filling each unit correctly, validating the weight and desired “feel” of product, matching it to the “red tag” sample provided. 
  • Closing each unit, ensuring the fill is completely inside and the zipper enclosure is secured properly. 
  • Packaging each unit as per the work order and verbal instructions from the production manager. 
  • Ensuring a constant visual inspection is done and any issues or concerns are brought to the attention of the quality inspector or production manager immediately. 

 Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic math, language, and reading skills

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience in a production line or facility is preferred.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed, up to 50lbs
