We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yard Technician/Lift Operator to join our dynamic team. Hourly Rate - $16.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Back up and load semi-trailers into tight spaces
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues or required repairs promptly.
- Work on various shop projects as needed, demonstrating problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach.
- Load and unload trailers and railcars
The Type of Background We're Searching For
- Prior forklift and yard work experience
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record is preferred but not required
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in flatbed transportation.
- Work in varied environments, including warehouses, yards, and outdoor loading areas.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with steel products, loading/unloading procedures, and securing heavy materials.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Capable of climbing onto flatbeds, securing loads with chains and straps, and using manual tools.
- Standing, kneeling, bending, and maneuvering heavy equipment throughout the workday.
