Job Title: Team Lead
FLSA Status: Hourly

SUMMARY:
Oversees, monitors and coordinates production team activities. Actively communicates with team members ensuring the team’s vision and goals are in line with the Company’s objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership, support and training (including product specifications) for all team members
- Positively motivates, including use of rewards, team to meet production goals and maintain high product quality standards
- Communicates daily production requirements and goals to team members
- Accountable for ensuring team meets production goals
- Participates in promoting a respectful and safe work environment
- Responsible and accountable for assigning and directing the work of team members to ensure maximum productivity
- Responsible for accurately recording attendance for all team personnel and for ensuring that personal/vacation requests are submitted in a timely manner to the Production Manager, Supervisor or Super Leads (Green Hats)
- Responsible for accurately reporting work hours on a weekly basis to Payroll
- Communicate any performance issues to the Production Manager, Supervisor or Super Leads (Green Hats) in a timely manner
- Hires new team members
- Must be able to distinguish and troubleshoot a general machine malfunction and use discretion and independent judgment to correct the problem, including making the decision to notify Maintenance as needed
- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures to team members under Team Lead’s direction
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- One year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and must be able to communicate with all personnel
- Bilingual a plus
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills (Excel)
