Shipping Lead

Job Title: Shipping Lead

SUMMARY:

Assist in management of inventories and inventory transactions. Identify and compare counts of outbound shipments, verify information against bills of lading and orders. Assists the Shipping Manager effectively and efficiently perform Shipping operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide leadership, support and training for all team members

· Assist Shipping Manager, in management of all outbound loads.

· Participates in promoting a respectful and safe work environment

· Responsible and accountable for assigning and directing the work of team members to ensure maximum productivity

· Communicate any discrepancies and/or performance issues to the Shipping Manager in a timely manner.

· Follow, interpret and apply company GMP, policies, and procedures to team members.

· Verify outbound documentation prior to shipments being loaded and shipped.

· Software knowledge (Canopy).

· Assist with inventory counting as needed.

· Be on the floor and accessible 95% of the workday.

· Assisting in the picking and packing of orders.

· Verifying accuracy of employees stacking and scanning orders.

· Proper use of the scanner gun.

· Safe operation of equipment (Forklift, Pallet Jack and Walkie Stacker).

· Implementation and oversight of all safety, quality, and efficiency programs

· Ensure that before leaving all required work has been completed.

· Good attendance is a must.

· Must be flexible to working overtime and weekends

· Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or GED/ Or a combination of education and experience

· Displays responsibility for being punctual

· Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills / Accurate Data Entry

· Good Verbal/Written communication skills

· Solid Organizational Skills/Detail Oriented

· Problem Solving and analytical skills

· Proven Ability to Multi-task

· Must work well independently and with a team

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment and a rapidly changing environment

· Proficient in English/Bilingual skills a plus

· Forklift (Stand Up) and Pallet Jack Experience / Certification.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Cold Temperature: <40 °F Cooler <0 °F Freezer

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold temperature. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
