Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for carrying out daily and weekly production plans. Primary responsibility is hitting quality, yield, and productivity targets as follows:
- Monitoring of Production flow and finished product manufacturing
- Continuously work with Plant Manager/Operation Manager to improve yields, efficiencies, and product quality
- Maintain communication with Lead personnel
- Supports movement of personnel between departments
- Approximately 75% of the time on floor supervision
- Supervise, lead and train line leads and hourly staff in the area of production requirements, quality of products, operation of equipment and safety.
- Responsible for ensuring all company policies, procedures and programs are followed.
- Documents performance issues of employees \
- Communicates any change in process, policy or procedure to line leads and hourly staff.
- Makes hiring and separation decision.
- Oversee product flow through the production process
- Review Daily productivity, yield reports, and Inventory
- Manage production line employees through Lead interaction
- Support Line lead personnel in day-to-day operation and adhere to production plan
- Observe product for quality, defects, and adherence to customer specifications
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work area and balance personnel throughout production process
- Interpret and comply with company policies and procedures
- Provide leadership, support, supervision, and training for all employees
- Confirm finished goods packed correctly
- Assist Leads with recording attendance
- Communicates with Maintenance, Management, QA, and Shipping/Receiving staff
- Reports to Production Supervisor
- Bilingual a plus
- Minimum 2 years Line Leader or QA experience in the food industry
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, procedures, and specifications
- Knowledge of basic math
- Oral and written communications skills
