Job Title: Receiving Specialist
Location: Austin
Department: Warehouse
Reports To: Branch Manager
Job Summary:
The Receiving Specialist is responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining inventory integrity, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Inspection:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damages, or discrepancies.
- Verify packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices against received items.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and report any issues.
Inventory & Documentation:
- Accurately log received items into the inventory system.
- Label and store received products in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate records of all receiving transactions and file related paperwork.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Communicate any delays, shortages, or damaged goods to the appropriate department.
- Coordinate returns and replacements with vendors as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 years of experience in warehouse receiving, inventory, or logistics preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification (will be provided).
