Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Experience in Concrete, Asphalt, Soils, and Aggregate testing and inspection
- ODOT Material Sampling Certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in testing and quality control fields
- Familiarity with construction project management software and attention to detail.
- Additional certifications in safety or quality assurance are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of construction sites and materials to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, such as concrete, asphalt, soils, and aggregate testing and inspection, reinforcing steel inspection, and Nuclear density testing.
- Review construction plans and specifications to verify that work is being performed according to approved designs to ensure quality of work
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports outlining compliance or non-compliance issues.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve any discrepancies or concerns.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulation changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
