Join a Team of Experts in Avionics Maintenance: As the Avionics Crew Chief, you will lead a team of skilled technicians in performing complex avionics and electrical systems maintenance and installation. Ensure the quality of work performed by your team and provide guidance on technical issues.
Your Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Coordinate Team Activities: Plan and coordinate multiple activities to achieve quality maintenance within established timeframes.
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Maintain knowledge of FAA regulations and requirements, as well as new technologies and systems.
- Simplify for Efficiency: Continuously work to simplify processes for ease of work performance, quality, and turnaround time.
- Promote a Safe Work Environment: Support and adhere to safety, environmental, and general housekeeping policies, monitoring the work environment for hazards and taking steps to address them.
Requirements:
- Authorized to Work in the U.S.: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required, plus 5 years of experience as an Avionics Technician in corporate aviation, with at least 2 years of experience in Avionics Modifications.
- Leadership Skills: Prior supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership skills that promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated exemplary technical ability in specialty area, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical avionics problems.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders, as well as stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
Preferred Characteristics:
- FCC License: FCC license desired.
- A&P License: A&P license desired.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a related field desired.
- Avionics Flight Decks: Experience with avionics flight decks desired.
- Aircraft Cabin Management Systems: Experience with aircraft cabin management systems desired.
- Aircraft Satellite Communication Systems: Experience with aircraft satellite communication systems desired.
- Aircraft Autopilot Systems: Experience with aircraft autopilot systems desired.
- FAA Regulations and Requirements: Knowledge of FAA regulations and requirements desired.
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills of complex avionics equipment and systems desired.
Salary and Benefits:
