The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for supporting the development of new systems, existing designs, operations, and working across all business functions to deliver innovative refrigeration systems. Experience with a proven track record in mechanical design, mechanisms will be essential to facilitate a "first to market" approach to develop and launch innovative products to be utilized in healthcare, university, pharmaceutical, bio-tech, government and industrial facilities. The Mechanical Designer will work within Engineering and Product Management to support rapid product development and innovation to realize best in class product and speed to market.
What You'll Do
- Drive the design and development of innovative cooling component and system level solutions
- Participate in brainstorming, ideation and execution of design concepts in all phases of a development cycle
- Integration of thermal, mechanical and refrigeration design solutions from concept to production within an Agile development environment
- Evaluate fabrication requirements for components to optimize cost, schedule, reliability, and ease of assembly
- Develop designs and processes with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Work on multiple design tasks and shift priorities as needed to meet project timelines
- Prototype development and iteration
- Support failure analyses to reach design solutions and corrective actions
- Documentation of mechanical design requirements, through the design process
- Work within the Engineering / Product Management team to drive Agile product development of new refrigeration and freezer systems and sustainment of existing refrigeration and freezer systems and operational systems critical to manufacturing
