What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Counselor position at StandGuard Aquatics Inc?
Camp Counselor – Minimum eligibility for a Camp Counselor is 15 years old. Must be American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED certified, and able to pass a swim test. (varies by location)
Job duties include but are not limited to:
1.Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities each week. Activities may include crafts, nature, songs, games, swimming.
2.Identify and respond to camper behavior issues.
3.Ensure that the site is kept clean, organized, and free of litter.
4.Communicate with parents about participant’s experiences and report concerns to Camp Leadership.
5.Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
6.Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program. 7.Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for your group.
8.Maintain constant surveillance of camps while in the pool area/body of water, know/review all emergency procedures
9.Holidays are mandatory as this position is seasonal. These holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
