DEPARTMENT: Tribal Gaming Department
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle sensitive and confidential background investigation documents, criminal history record information (CHRI), associated court documents and drug testing documents.
- Travel to each Class II and Class III gaming facility to provide orientation on the completion of the Tribal Gaming License application.
- Travel to each Class II and Class III gaming facility to process identification card of licensee, includes the preparation of actual licenses.
- Maintain a work schedule with contracted services of the Gaming Department.
- Issue formal letters to gaming entities and licensees regarding licensee eligibility, change of status, suspensions, and licenses that are revoked or terminated.
- Maintain a current filing structure of inactive and active gaming licensees, organizational files and data base.
- Maintain FBI and NIGC investigation report logs and update on a weekly basis.
- Work with state agencies to develop reports that track key licenses issued by SRST Gaming Commission.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Become fully certified to administer, evaluate and characterize tests specimens.
- Handle potentially harmful bodily fluids (hazardous).
- Prepare “positive” specimens for shipment to approved testing laboratory.
- Prepare associated documents with individuals being tested.
- Keep log(s) of employees tested, results & tracking.
- Be “on-call” for casino hours of operation, if testing is needed after 4:30 p.m., M-F, before 8;00 a.m., M-F and Saturday & Sundays.
- Keep certification in good standing as long as employee of SR Gaming Dept.
- Prepare report for Chairman/Executive Secretary of Gaming Commission on drug testing results, license issued, denied, revoked and terminated.
- Collect gaming license applications to enter into Background check website.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) year degree in general studies or office technologies or business related field. Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in clerical, typing and filing procedures. There will be a requirement of a background investigation to Tribal Gaming License Standards. Must have good communication skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.

No Tribal housing is available. This position is located at the Tribal Gaming Office, Fort Yates, ND. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Chairman/Executive Secretary or Office Manager of the Tribal Gaming Commission.
