Qualifications
¨ Three years related business experience.
¨ Excellent computational skills and ability to work with computerized system.
¨ Hands-on experience related to business office, payroll, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, grant administration procurement, purchasing, general fixed assets, stewardship and contractual agreements.
¨ Ability to organize and supervise staff to achieve departmental and overall district goals and objectives.
General Responsibilities
¨ Accountable to Superintendent for completion of all assigned duties and responsibilities.
¨ Perform all duties as required by state law and/or required the Governing Board/District policies and procedures.
¨ Assist in preparation and monitoring of budget development for all departments
¨ Oversee purchase of supplies/materials required in the day-to-day maintenance operation of the district.
¨ Supervise assigned personnel in key operations functions, including student activities, cafeteria and auxiliary accounting to ensure job duties are completed efficiently and effectively as requested by the Superintendent.
¨ Plan and manage special projects as requested by Superintendent
¨ Monitor payroll for accuracy.
¨ Prepare reports as requested by the Superintendent or Governing Board.

General Responsibilities (Cont.)
¨ Maintain an effective, professional demeanor at all times by establishing and maintaining rapport with all contacts including: staff, parents, vendors and supervision.
¨ Assist with Bond and override election process.
¨ Supervise cafeteria staff including assigning/monitoring work, providing up-to-date training, resolving conflicts, assisting with interviewing applicants and conducing performance evaluations in coordination with contracted food service vendor.
¨ Monitor Food Service department budget, purchasing, and required reporting
Compliance/Reporting
¨ Assists in preparation and submittal of financial and statistical reports that are required by the law and the Superintendent as directed.
¨ Makes financial records, documents, files and accounts available for the District Auditor.
¨ Adhere to established system of Uniform system of Records for Arizona School Districts (USFR).
¨ Ensure compliance with State, Federal, County, and District guidelines regarding financial, legal and procurement regulations.
¨ Prepare and forward all financial records to the State Department of Education, including food service applications/claims and all federal and state programs and grants.
¨ Prepare and maintain detailed, accurate records establishing evidence of ownership of financial and/or legal obligations, contracts and agreements affecting school properties and alterations to properties and maintain fiscal accountability.
¨ Prepare bids, quotes and proposals for purchase and delivery of goods and services and keeps the District in compliance with all procurement rules.
¨ Prepare School Financial Board Reports as requested by the Superintendent.
Budgets
¨ Provide monthly accounting reports to principals and supervisors of their budget, funds spent and funds available as requested by the Superintendent.
¨ Review /monitor approvals of travel reimbursement and supporting documentation.
¨ Ensure required monthly statements for student activities and auxiliary operations are prepared and distributed to the applicable school organizations and Arizona Department of Education (ADE).
Special Assignments/Requests
¨ Complete all special assignments and requests in a timely manner and keep appropriate personnel advised of progress.
¨ Request additional help and information as required.
