Part-Time Worship Leader

Stanford Baptist Church of Stanford KY is looking for a part time Worship Leader.

Stanford Baptist Church music ministry is Contemporary Christian playing everything

from David Crowder to Elevation Worship and Hillsong Worship to Brandon Lake.

Once a month they will also need to coordinate to have a song sung out of the Hymnal

for the opening song.

Stanford Baptist is a long-standing church since 1852, but is a very active and growing

church, with activities, programs, and conferences. We have an active congregation of

about 200, with 450 members in the church.

Responsibilities

1. Lead music at all scheduled services.

2. Plan worship services in conjunction with the Pastor.

3. Direct Adult Choir or Praise-Worship Team practice.

4. Act as a consultant for other music leaders including handbells and children’s choir

leaders.

5. Plan and coordinate the Music Budget.

6. Plan and lead the special music projects.

7. Be responsible to have a musician at the Stanford house services.

Qualifications

1. Confess to be a born-again Christian with a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ

as Lord and Savior, and living a life controlled by the Holy Spirit.

2. Preferred experience in mentoring others on their team in their faith.

3. Experience in leading a contemporary worship team.

4. Preferred to have knowledge of the operation of sound boards and equipment.

5. Spiritual qualifications as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 as understood by this

church body.

6. Believes the Holy Bible is the infallible Word of God.

7. Believes in the Trinity, Jesus was born of a virgin, and salvation is only found in

Jesus Christ.

8. Agrees with the Baptist Faith Message 2000 doctrine.

9. Be flexible and supportive of other ministries in the church that need musical

assistance.

Benefits

The compensation for this position will be $20,000.

You will also have access to the Kentucky Baptist Convention retirement and

healthcare. This is outside of Stanford Baptist, but it will help you meet the “ministry”

criteria on your application.
