Position: Sales Representative (full time position)

Overview: Repsco, the leading manufacturer of recycled slip sheets, is looking for one or two new salespeople to:

  • Increase product and brand awareness 

  • Utilize marketing generated for use in growing awareness as well as lead and customer development 

  • Identify and make contact with potential customers (direct generation of leads) 

  • Convert leads into long-term customers 

  • Maintain accounts once those prospects become Repsco customers, including growing sales within those accounts 

  • Provide market insight to Repsco management and other team members 

As needed and subject to adjustments, Repsco will have this sales representative focus on generating “end user” accounts, that is, those who will use the product directly and not resell to other entities.  Distributor accounts will have a role, though a smaller one than end user customers. 

In no uncertain terms does Repsco describe this position, but to state directly, that this position consists of identifying leads, pursuing leads to convert into prospects, then convert prospects into active, long-term and profitable accounts.  We are seeking an aggressive, high-energy and solution oriented individual to sell our products into a world that very much benefits from them.  And the more you sell, the more you earn.  There is no ceiling to the earnings (commission portion). 

Other duties will consist of: 

  • Entering and updating information in Repsco’s CRM system 

  • Learning about Repsco’s products, uses, features and benefits 

  • Attending events such as conventions, tradeshows and the like 

  • Assisting the company in pursuing payments due 

  • Providing updates to management 

  • Supporting other sales personnel as deemed necessary 

  • Other activities as needed 

While no major changes are anticipated, some changes or adjustments to the role may occur as Repsco grows or markets change.  A valid driver’s license with safe driving history, a reliable vehicle and proof of insurance with minimum coverage is required. 

Required Skills & Experience: Candidates are expected to have the following; 

  • 2 to 6 years of related experience with a proven track record showing growth and improvement 

  • Basic knowledge of one or more of these industries: manufacturing (food/beverage, industrial goods, consumer goods, electronics, etc.); distribution; retail or agriculture 

  • Some existing contacts and connections with professionals in the above industries 

  • College degree or equivalent preferred but not required (years of experience working will offset this preference) 

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 

  • Contact management system experience (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.) 

  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal 

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates highly preferred 

  • Sales methods 

Repsco is seeking candidates from the following regions: 

  • Central California (Stanislaus, Merced, Modesto, Fresno or other nearby county) 

  • North Bay Area (Petaluma, Napa, Sonoma, American Canyon, Benicia, etc.) 

  • South Sacramento (Stockton, Lathrop, etc.) 

Some travel will be required, to customer sites, for tradeshows and events, as well as to Repsco’s offices in Riverbank, CA.  Sales Representative will work a hybrid schedule, remotely and in the Repsco headquarters for company meetings and other functions. 

This associated is anticipated to spend less than 40% of their time in the office and the remaining amount of time in a remote site, at client sites and at various events.  As such, this candidate must have very reliable transportation (e.g., personal car) for which expenses will be reimbursed. 

Compensation: $40,000 – $54,000 base salary / $60,000 – 90,000 in total compensation anticipated if sales targets and performance requirements are met.  After the 90-day probationary period, hired individual will be eligible for benefits and a discretionary year end performance bonus.
