Job Summary
Basic Function : Under the general direction of the Director of Safe and Supportive Schools, coordinates all phases of planning and implementing services for the foster youth and homeless education grant programs; performs technical duties in serving as a liaison between schools, group homes, placing agencies, shelters and other community supports to ensure the educational needs are met for students in foster care or those experiencing homelessness.
Requirements / Qualifications

Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of experience working with foster youth, homeless students, at-risk youth or similar programs. Prior experience coordinating school related projects and a bachelor's degree in a closely related field is desirable.
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS : The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment : DMV PN, Mandated Reporter Training, Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance & Pre-Employment Physical / Drug Screen clearance. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possession of a valid California Driver License.
Incumbents of positions in this class are required to use personal vehicles in the course of employment.
Must provide proof of insurance if using own vehicle in the course of employment.
Comments and Other Information
BENEFITS : A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
