The Distribution Operations Supervisor will coordinate and supervise the daily and weekly activities that occur within our warehouse operation. These include but are not limited to our label line operation. The Distribution Operations Supervisor will provide leadership, motivation, training, and development of the union workforce. They will ensure that company policies are always followed while maintaining a positive and productive workplace culture.
This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Supervise labeling activities to ensure all orders are completed in a timely, effective, and quality process.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for warehouse staff.
- Investigate accidents or near misses and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Supervise and motivate warehouse personnel, including forklift operators, trucks, and receiving clerks.
- Communicate with other supervisors and managers on day-to-day operational activities.
- Ensure quality standards and productivity standards are achieved.
- Create a dynamic workplace that affects positive employee relations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written, communications and organizational skills.
- Minimum 2 years supervising employees with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Must be willing to work mid-shift hours: 2 PM to 12 AM (October – June).
- Must be able to work long hours and the weekends during our harvest pack season (75 days from July through end of September).
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of work experience working in a logistics warehouse environment.
Candidate Preferences:
- Demonstrated expert in Microsoft Office Modules
- Conversational in Spanish
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and occasional fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 20% or less sitting, 50% or more walking, and 50% or more standing. The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in an distribution environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.
