This is a seasonal, full-time position located on-site at our Modesto administration office. This role will require flexibility to work any schedule.
The Help Desk Intern provides first line response for users requiring assistance with information technology issues and problems. They respond to requests for technical assistance by phone and/or using a help desk management system. A Help Desk Intern acts as a liaison between customers and technical escalation teams. In this role, you will learn and apply skills, knowledge and experience in Operating Systems, Word Processing and Spreadsheet applications, common IT applications and common hardware knowledge.
This position will be primarily responsible to:
- serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance over the phone or in person.
- determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by users.
- walk users through the problem-solving process.
- direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
- record events and problems and their resolution in logs.
- follow up and update customer status and information.
- identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Help Desk environment or other customer service role
- Tech savvy with working knowledge on Microsoft products
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
- Positive Attitude & Team Player
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and MS Access database experience
