This position is expected to work 6 days a week at minimum during our Harvest Season. During the off season (October through June), you will be responsible for repairing, overhauling, and maintaining tomato harvesting equipment. During harvest season (July through September), you will manage harvest crews during harvest, diagnose and repair issues as they arise and take a proactive approach to maintain equipment in the field to prevent unnecessary downtime.

This position will be primarily responsible for :

• Repairing, overhauling and maintaining tomato harvesting equipment.
• Providing emergency and unscheduled repairs during season as needed.
• Managing crews during harvest season.
• Maintaining safety for all crew, themselves included.
• Diagnosing equipment problems and repairing in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements :

Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and / or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity : 10% or more sitting, 5% or less walking, and 85% or more standing. The job is performed under temperature variations and in a shop or field environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.
