Position Overview:
We are looking for an inventive, passionate, and innovative Industrial Designer. Your role will be to create production ready product design solutions that connect Stanley’s product strategy, visual design languages, with consumer insights and emerging trends in global food and beverage culture. This Industrial Designer will play a key role in executing product management portfolio vision and strategy. All solutions will build on our foundational beliefs of creating a more sustainable and less disposable life and world. As a member of the Industrial Design team, you will work closely with cross-functional partners in Engineering, CMF, Product Development, and Product Management to deliver category driven consumer product experiences that inform and align with Stanley’s invention, originality, quality, and sustainability promise.

About The Role
- Creates compelling sketches and 3D rendered product concepts through the synthesis of culture, consumer, brand strategy and visual design language.
- Designs and develops new products by collaborating with design, engineering, management, business, and other functional groups.
- Documents project workflow through digital whiteboards and presentations to convey design thinking and intent to various audiences.
- Implements strategic design decisions and project decisions by collaborating with design and engineering peers, leadership, and product management.
- Implements and organizes design activities around schedules and project goals.
- Collaborates with design peers to continuously improve the craft and excellence of industrial design.
- Participates in consumers, trends, materials, and processes research activities to inform project thinking and development of new products.
- Represents and promotes a culture of creativity and design while exhibiting overall corporate values.
- Exquisite taste level, with the ability to design functional and elegant solutions across product categories and consumer platform visual design languages
- Passionate about and proven history of investigating and adapting emerging design tools and skills, including AI.
- Cognizant of current events, food and beverage culture and trends, and able to synthesize inspirational input for impactful design solutions.
- Strong sketching and conceptualization skills, and storytelling skills to inform and communicate design intent.
- You have a proven ability to deliver high-quality results on time and in collaboration with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Knowledge and curiosity of product manufacturing including plastic injection molding, metal forming, CMF techniques, and Design For Manufacturability.
- Strong affinity for food and beverage, and how we consume them everywhere!
- 3-5 years of experience as a practicing industrial designer.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial design.
- Expertise with 3D CAD, rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Direct experience communicating with engineers & factories, Asian factories a bonus.
- Portfolio examples of current relevant work that show innovative, fresh designs.
