Stanley Consultants is seeking a Student Intern for our Cost Estimating department in our Muscatine, IA office. This position develops and checks cost estimates for a variety of architectural, civil, industrial, institutional, and utility type projects.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Work with cost estimating team to prepares detailed breakdown of components and elements of estimates for systems and subsystems
- Accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data for the development of future estimates
- Review contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work and equitable cost allowance for scope changes
- Prepare and/or review final Engineer's estimate
Required Qualifications:
- Must be currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Must possess strong PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Must possess the ability to read construction documentation
- Experience in scheduling and use of scheduling software is a plus
- Previous construction experience is a plus
