Technical Support Specialist

Summary:

As Technical Support Specialist you will install, maintain, and repair personal computer hardware and software systems and provide technical assistance and training to system users.

As the Technical Support Specialist, your day will include:

• Providing technical support for Windows, Macintosh computers, Chromebooks and iPads

• Developing, preparing, testing, and deploying standard configurations (baselines)

• Instructing users in use of equipment, software, web-based applications, etc.
• Providing updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem/request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication

• Must be able to backup, transfer and restore user settings, documents and other files

• Managing Active Directory accounts and user rights management.

• Be responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of the equipment inventory

• Providing initial troubleshooting of VoIP and network related issues

• Providing initial troubleshooting of server services (e.g. file sharing, print sharing, etc.)

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for the role:

• Associated Degree or equivalent

• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve operating system problems, application software problems, printing problems, and network connectivity problems on a TCP/IP based network.

• Must be able to troubleshoot laptop, desktop and printer hardware problems and perform hardware replacement/repair as needed.

• Must have great customer service and be able to communicate with users verbally and written.

• Must be able to occasionally travel to a remote site.

• Position requires the ability to lift 75 lbs. and move computers and peripherals around offices as needed.

• VoIP experience

• CompTIA A Certification

• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships

Competitive Salary from $55,000 to $65,000 per year

Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM –3:00 PM
