A day in the life of a Design Studio Specialist
Life as a Design Studio Specialist is dynamic and rewarding, as it is your job to manage the design selection process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the completion and communication of accurate selections of design studio collections for all homes in the division. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve creating precise layouts and diagrams to meet the deadlines required by production teams, as well as providing sales teams with the necessary information to sell move-in-ready homes. You will work closely with division leadership teams to ensure that design studio collections are current, relevant to the market, and competitively priced to maximize profits and customer take rates. Your role will also involve maintaining design collection product displays in design studios and model homes, collaborating with purchasing teams and trade partners to achieve this. Some days you will conduct tours of the design studio, attend Final Neighborhood Start Meetings, and meet with purchasers of build-to-order homes to provide guidance on making timely design selections and maintaining accurate information for all assigned homes. You will work with the Director of Retail Merchandising to assist with model homes in the division; kicking-off neighborhoods with planning and installations of model homes, as well as model home activities as we are closing-down neighborhoods. You will work in an office setting, sometimes traveling to other locations and neighborhoods in the division.
