We are seeking a passionate and motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our dynamic Development team for a 3-month period. The Development team is an internal team focused on delivering innovative technical solutions across various business domains. We build and maintain cloud-hosted web applications that support both internal and external stakeholders, improving operational efficiency and content delivery. Ultimately, the Development team empowers internal teams and creates value for our customers within the Homebuilding space.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Collaborate with the Development team to develop and implement solutions for our multifaceted cloud applications (desktop / mobile web native devices)
Design, build, and ship reusable and maintainable systems that contribute to our web applications
Provide feedback on requirements and actively participate in technical solutioning workshops
Contribute to the overall architecture of our codebases, including both front-end and back-end components
Gain valuable hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle
Position Standards :
Experience with JavaScript libraries (e.g., jQuery) and methods (e.g., ajax)
Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with client-side caching technologies (e.g., Redis)
Interest in developing software applications as web services interacting with SQL Server or other SQL / NoSQL databases
Interest in developing and maintaining APIs and search functionalities using REST-like APIs
Basic understanding of Cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Position Requirements :
Currently enrolled, or recently graduated from a Computer Science, Mathematics, or related program
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Passion for software development and a desire to learn new technologies
Basic understanding of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, X , Java)
Familiarity with web technologies (e.g., HTML, JavaScript)
Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
