What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher position at Stanley School District 2?
JOB GOAL:
The role of the substitute teacher is to instruct students and facilitate their learning in the absence of the regular teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Substitute teaching license from North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board
- Interest in children and education
- Desire to assist students in a learning environment
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
- Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
- Maintains a safe and orderly environment.
- Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.
- Communicates effectively with parents when needed.
- Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated.
REPORTS TO:
- Building Principal/Assistant Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position constitutes an employee at will for the Stanley Community Public School District.
WAGES AND BENEFITS:
- Wages:
- $150/day for short-term subs
- $234.89/day for long-term subs
