The work, and what you'll do:
As a Senior Data Scientist/Software Engineer, you'll design, develop, and optimize mission-critical software across diverse cloud and enterprise platforms. You'll utilize your Python/Java, scripting, and ML/AI mastery to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge solutions. Experience with at-scale development tools like Spark, Docker, and Kubernetes is crucial for this dynamic environment.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) OR 4 years of relevant work experience
- 14 years of software engineering / data science experience
- Demonstrated experience with Python and/or Java programming languages and Bash scripting
- Familiarity with Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (professional or personal experience)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
- Cloud dev certifications (Hadoop, Cloudera, etc.) and experience w/ Jupyter Notebook & data science techniques are a plus
- Natural language processing experience and GPU application experience are a plus.
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location/telework: This is a PARTIAL TELEWORK position with onsite work location in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
