The work, and what you'll do:
Join our client's team as a Backend Software Engineer and bring your Python expertise to life! You'll be crafting RESTful APIs, microservices, and data models that power user-facing applications. Leverage your skills in Django and Flask to interact with various databases and deliver JSON data seamlessly.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Python-based RESTful endpoints and microservices.
- Manage data models using MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Send data in JSON format to UI front-ends upon request.
What you'll need:
- Python programming proficiency.
- Experience with Django or Flask frameworks.
- Database experience with MongoDB or MariaDB.
- Understanding of RESTful API development and microservice architecture.
- Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation.
- Experience with AWS, C2S, or other cloud platforms.
- Docker containerization knowledge, Visual Studio Code (or similar IDE experience) and JSON data formatting expertise are a plus.
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location/telework: Worksite is located in Annapolis Junction, MD. This is a hybrid remote position with 1-2 days/week WFH.
