The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk engineer with 5 years of experience. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing Splunk solutions for a large-scale environment. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and working independently.
What You'll Bring
Experience: 5 years in Splunk engineering, administration, and security operations
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (5 additional years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.)
Certifications: Splunk Core Certified Consultant or Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin (preferred)
Skills Desired:
Expertise in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk ITSI, and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES)
Experience in large-scale Splunk deployments and log ingestion architecture
Ability to develop custom dashboards, reports, and alerts
Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language)
Experience integrating Splunk with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) knowledge
Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation
Strong troubleshooting and incident response capabilities
Linux and Windows system administration knowledge
Ability to mentor junior engineers and work independently
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs); this particular role can accomodate FS Polys from MD or VA.
