Job Summary
Stannah Stairlifts is growing, and we're looking for an experienced, outgoing individual to strengthen our team in Northern New Jersey. Qualified candidates will be comfortable working alongside both our management and sales teams. This position would suit a conversational person who enjoys multitasking.
You'll be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager, handling inbound calls and giving customers a positive impression of the company. You'll also provide general support for our sales and service teams and contribute to a friendly and efficient working environment.
Good candidates will be well-organized "multi-taskers", with strong time management and people skills. Previous office experience is preferred.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Answer phones with confidence and a polite demeanor
- Initiate a positive client experience during phone calls, helping people to take the next step in the sales/service process.
- Troubleshoot over the phone when possible.
- Schedule appointments and deliver messages, as needed.
- Build an understanding of the company’s products and services.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Represent the company responsibly while maintaining confidentiality.
- Be a team player; develop good working relationships with all other departments of the company.
Qualifications
- An outgoing personality, with strong listening skills to respond to customers’ needs and deliver messages accurately.
- Good attention to detail, to keep notes of conversations and provide helpful information.
- Patience and empathy to work with a mostly elderly customer-base.
- Customer service/Office experience
- Basic experience of basic data-entry on a computer, emailing, word-processing and spreadsheets
- At least one year of office experience
