Stansell is seeking a talented Accountant in our Odessa, FL office to join our team!
We are a General Contractor specializing in commercial construction in the restaurant & retail industry across 20 states with many global brand partnerships and within a culture of Customer-Focused Construction. The Accountant position is a full-time position and will contribute with well-rounded construction experience to our team.
Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the accounting functions of the company to include financial reporting, job costing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work closely with project managers and senior management to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- All aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with preparation of documents for annual audits.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Monthly & quarterly GL reconciliations.
- Prepare billings (Draws).
- Financial analysis as requested.
- Prepare sales tax filings.
- Annual 1099 reporting.
- Various miscellaneous projects as requested.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Working knowledge of the construction industry.
- Experience with Sage Intacct and Procore a plus.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven attention to detail, accuracy and documentation of work.
- Self-motivated with a preference for working in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others, internally and externally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic & teambuilding skills.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to work with multiple software programs.
