Stansell is seeking a talented Assistant Project Manager in the Tampa region to join our team!
Stansell is a rapidly growing, WBE certified, general contractor specializing in commercial construction services across the Southeast United States. We focus on serving clients in the commercial market with emphasis on the following project types: restaurant dining and quick service food. The ideal candidate for this role is a career-minded individual with a customer service focus, has high energy, and is detail oriented. This candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing the planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for construction projects.
- Support the coordination of subcontractors and ensure their work meets project specifications and timelines.
- Help organize and manage construction procedures, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Assist in negotiating contracts with external vendors, ensuring favorable terms and maintaining project budgets.
- Provide support in creating and submitting bids by seeking proposals across all trades and assisting with estimates.
- Help secure permits and licenses required for project commencement.
- Assist in determining and allocating the necessary resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) throughout the project.
- Work closely with the on-site Superintendent to ensure that construction operations are aligned with schedules and milestones.
- Assist in managing subcontractor relationships and track their progress on the project.
- Monitor project progress and assist in adjusting plans and timelines to meet project goals.
- Provide support throughout the project closeout process, ensuring all requirements are met and the project is completed according to client specifications.
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to, helping identify and resolve safety issues as they arise.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on restaurant construction preferred.
- Familiarity with construction/project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, MS Project, etc.) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of construction procedures, project management principles, and material handling.
- Knowledge of quality control, health, and safety standards in construction.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
