What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Stansell Properties and Development?

The Accounts Payable Specialist position is a full-time role and will contribute with well-rounded experience to our team.

Responsibilities: The role of the Accounts Payable Specialist involves collaborating with teams to meet deadlines, managing vendor setup, ensuring compliance, and supporting general accounting tasks.
- Enter and process invoices and pay applications in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process bi-weekly check-runs and electronic payments.
- Determine when/if Lien Waivers are required.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Answer vendor inquiries / Handle vendor correspondence via phone or email.
- Investigate and resolve issues associated with processing of invoices.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment issues or discrepancies.
- Work closely with project managers to meet vendor payment deadlines.
- Upload positive pay to the bank.
- Set-up new vendors, including verifying they meet our insurance requirements and obtaining COI’s and W-9’s.
- Respond to subcontractor and vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Respond to and handle one-off check requests.

Position Requirements:
- Previous experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable.
- Strong time management and organizational skills are a must. Being detail-orientated is also vital. Self-motivated with a preference for working in a team environment. Strong work ethic.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information.
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, and/or Procore is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel).
