Product Engineer for Stant USA Corp in Connersville, IN
Duties: Lead strategic product development of fuel system components for automotive OEM customers; coordinate with customer regarding engineering issues and oversee multiple projects; assist with prototype builds and testing, and oversee cost and timing of prototype orders; oversee program Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) and Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (DFMEA); perform project tracking through product launch and resolve production start- up issues; provide detailed design information for use in quoting new programs; and coordinate with sales and program management staff in development and sales of new and existing products
Requirements: Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field of study, or equivalent foreign degree. 1 year of work experience in a product engineering position or in a closely related engineering role, either working with fuel systems or in the automotive industry. Must have 1 year of work experience with each of the following: performing 3D & 2D product design, tolerance stackup, and GD&T; completing development cycle, from innovation to launch; CAD, FEA, CFD or a combination thereof; designing for manufacturing; designing metal tube routing for manufacture, and plastic injection molded parts; and designing stampings, using correct material, and determining best way to coat it for manufacturing.
