Your Opportunity
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to infrastructure projects which may include renewable energy systems, parks, marinas/boatyards, roadways, transportation facilities, site development projects, rail projects, ITS/traffic signal systems and electrical infrastructure design. Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken electrical engineering type courses. This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to support several exciting local projects. This internship is for Summer 2025 (June through August) in our New York City or Rochelle Park, NJ office.

Salary Range(s):
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare basic deliverables and documents including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Design tasks will include lighting design, energy code compliance, lighting/power circuiting design, construction cost estimating, and CAD drafting.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Enrolled in a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering program from an accredited institution.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and/or BIM/REVIT is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
