Your Opportunity
As an Entry Level Mechanical Designer / Engineer-in-Training, you will work on engineering tasks under the guidance and direction of experienced designers and engineers. You will participate in the evaluation, recommendation, design, and specification of building mechanical systems and equipment for project applications, verifying compliance with applicable codes, engineering standards, and best practices.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct basic interpretations of drawings of all disciplines, codes, and similar materials.
- Perform 3-D modeling of mechanical systems using Revit software.
- Collaborate with architectural, interior, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines in the coordination of mechanical system requirements.
- Perform engineering calculations to analyze and design building mechanical systems using industry standard tools and software.
- Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
- Perform field work to verify existing conditions.
- Assist with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions.
- Perform other duties as delegated by senior staff.

Education and Experience
Typical office work tasks require extensive use of a computer. Occasional field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s) :
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary / casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
