Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator will participate on a tightly integrated team responsible for the operational maintenance of multiple Azure Environments, Windows file, web, and database servers, VMware infrastructure, and Microsoft Active Directory as well as software delivery via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, patching, and monitoring systems. The systems administrator may be required to work an overnight / early morning shift schedule to support our European employees.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of Azure environments including virtual machines, networking, storage, virtual desktops, and more
- Ensure continuous security vigilance by monitoring systems, identifying potential threats, and implementing proactive measures to safeguard company assets.
- Maintain administration of AD, file shares, and user account permissions
- Manage the corporate network, including firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Provide documentation and guidance in addition to communicate clearly and effectively with service delivery and customer support teams
- Maintain backup routines and troubleshoots issues
- Create, update, and close all escalated incident tickets in a timely manner

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Temporary / casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
