Stanton’s Women’s Wellness Center, located in Boise, provides ongoing care and support throughout a woman’s pregnancy and beyond, with a focus on holistic care for which Stanton has become known.
The immediate opportunity is for an hourly position. This position will work between 24 and 40 hours per week, depending upon Clinic needs. The primary work location will be at the Meridian Stanton Healthcare Clinic location, but applicants must be able to work on the Mobile Medical Unit on occasion as staffing needs dictate, including day long shifts in Ontario, Oregon.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for the operation of sonographic equipment, performing limited obstetric ultrasounds while ensuring that all ultrasounds are carried out per the Standing Orders set forth by the Medical Director and in adherence with the standards of care and practice parameters outlined by the AIUM.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer reports to the Director of Clinical Services (Physician Assistant). The role requires daily interactions with clients, staff, volunteers, and Stanton stakeholders. This role is critical to Stanton Healthcare’s commitment to providing exceptional care to Stanton clients. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer must have exceptional relational skills, possess a high degree of professionalism, be service oriented and be a positive team member. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible to provide and exemplify spiritual maturity, and to represent Christ in all organizational interactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Spiritual Health and Leadership:
- Consistent with scripture, demonstrates behaviors which give evidence of Christian maturity, growth, and loving support to individuals and families;
- Demonstrates Christian leadership principles in working with staff and volunteers;
- Demonstrates a commitment to his/her own spiritual growth by consistent attendance and involvement in a local church, being attuned to one’s own spiritual health and self-care, and consistent investment in prayer and growth.
Sonography and Client Care:
- Maintains a high standard of medical ethics;
- Performs clinical assessment and limited OB ultrasound examinations;
- Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images;
- Exercises independent judgment during the exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings;
- Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history;
- Communicates findings to the Director of Clinical Services, the Medical Director, or other appropriate physician;
- Assumes responsibility for the safety and mental/physical comfort of patients while in the sonographer’s care;
- Coordinates work schedule with the Director of Clinical Services;
- Maintains daily logs of patients seen, pregnancy test results, and other essential information;
- Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area and ensures that adequate supplies are on hand;
- Participates in the Clinic’s accreditation process and procedures by completing applicable logs and accreditation paperwork, including infection control, pregnancy test log, ultrasound log, prenatal vitamin log, and laboratory log;
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Completion/graduation from a United States Ultrasound program
- Possession of ARDMS Certification/Oregon license, or willing to obtain one within an agreed upon time period after hire;
- Possession of current BLS Certification, or be willing to complete within an agreed upon time period after hire;
- Possession of a current Driver’s License
- Ability to speak Spanish, or any other language commonly seen in the Clinic, is highly desirable
- Christian leadership principles, biblical precepts for conflict resolution; and scriptural knowledge sufficient to convey the organization’s mission, exemplify Christian leadership in an organizational setting, and work to resolve conflict in a manner consistent with scriptural teaching
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Current computer applications utilized in a typical office environment
- Strong team-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an office(medical clinic) or mobile medical unit setting, including using a keyboard, sitting or standing for long periods of time, lift up to 25 pounds, bend and stoop;
Ability to use an ultrasound machine, and to perform multiple ultrasounds per day
Ability to work collaboratively in group settings
Communicate both orally and in writing
Other Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, and work in other locations on the Mobile Medical Unit, including Ontario, Oregon as needed.

Pay: $31.00 - $37.00 per hour
