Essential Responsibilities
- Greet all patients and customers as they enter the store, identifying patient needs to ensure an easy and memorable experience
- Meet personal and store sales goals by assisting patients in finding the proper frame and lens best suited for their prescription and lifestyle
- Professionally and courteously dispense eyewear and contact lenses, while answering any final questions the patient may have about their purchase
- Measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for clients according to written optical prescription or specification, determining the specifications of lenses, making minor repairs or adjustments to eyewear, etc.
- Pretest patients efficiently while creating a personalized experience for each patient per their specific examination needs
- Perform insertion and removal training of contact lenses to qualified patients
- Maintain visual merchandising and store cleanliness
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
- Consultative selling - Desire to sell what’s right for the patient’s prescription, lifestyle, and budget
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good computer skills including knowledge of MS Office
Desired Characteristics
- Strong customer service skills
- Fluent in reading and speaking in both English and Spanish
- Ability to learn optical knowledge (optical knowledge preferred, but not required
- Flexibility with scheduling, available to work weekends
