Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

STAR Behavior Consulting is an established company providing compassion-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children in Oak Harbor, WA. We are looking to hire full time, focused, dedicated, and caring Board-Certified Behavior Analysts to join our growing team.

STAR Behavior Consulting BCBAs deliver individually designed family centered behavior interventions in clinic, home, and school.

Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assess children using the VB-MAPP, ABLLS, Vineland and Functional Behavior Assessment as determined by client needs.
• Create and implement evidence-based individualized behavior support plans for each child to target adaptive skills, self-care skills, emotional development, tolerance skills, play/ leisure skills, family relationships, language skills, communication skills, cognitive functioning, self-management, self-advocacy, safety skills, social relationships, vocational skills and independence.
• Provide client/family support and feedback throughout the course of treatment to ensure clients/families fully participate in the treatment process.
• Advocate for your clients/families by monitoring for potential issues and communicating concerns.
• Share your extensive knowledge and experience through direct supervision, support, and training of our growing team of Registered Behavioral Technicians in accordance with the BACB guidelines.
• Maintain, train, and model BACB ethical guidelines.
• Attend weekly/monthly staff meetings.
• Establish and maintain data measurement collection, graphs, and analysis.
• Maintain required documentation, prepare and complete reports as required.
• Conduct structured periodic service reviews to monitor the effectiveness of treatment programs and their implementation; modify, document plan changes, and train all stakeholders on any changes as needed.
• Create recommendations for comprehensive wrap-around services.
• Collaborate with other treatment team members.
• Participate in Individual Education Program (IEP) team meetings for clients when needed.

As an ideal BCBA candidate, the following qualifications are required:

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Analysis, Education, Psychology, or a related field
• Active BCBA Certification in good standing with the BACB.
• Demonstrated skills and experience implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related disorders.
• Ability to administer and interpret a variety of clinical assessments
• Excellent clinical competence and judgment
• Commitment to handling confidential information responsibly
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills while working in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced skills in MS Office
• Two years of therapeutic experience preferred
• Must have time management skills and can work independently.
