Forklift Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals. Start time 4:30 am Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate handling of goods while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and assist with order picking processes.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in training new employees on safe forklift operation and warehouse procedures.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment operation.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and workplace safety.
• Experience using warehouse management systems is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability for tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
