Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The Nurse Practitioner will focus on delivering comprehensive care, particularly in areas such as infectious disease management, geriatrics, and critical care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Provide infectious disease care and manage chronic illnesses effectively.
- Perform case management duties to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks for documentation and coding of patient encounters.
- Participate in cardiac catheterization procedures as needed.
- Oversee laboratory tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Educate patients and families on health management strategies and preventive care.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Maryland
- Experience in a clinical setting with a focus on Internal Medicine, Geriatrics or Critical Care preferred.
- Proficiency in Gehrimed or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients, their families and healthcare staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
