Star City Broadcasting is seeking a talented Program Director / Radio On-Air Talent to ensure the station's programming always supports the company's strategic direction.
Responsibilities :
- Adhere to FCC Rules and Regulations to protect the station's licenses.
- Build and host a live morning show on weekdays from 6-10 AM on WAZY.
- Conduct interviews with celebrities, clients, and community leaders.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Report to work on time, with the ability to work other hours or alternate schedules as needed.
- Promote the station at appearances such as community events, including hosting and assisting charity functions and remote broadcasts.
- Schedule Music Logs for WAZY and WYCM.
- Enter new songs into AudioVault for WAZY and WYCM.
- Direct and manage weekly airchecks of on-air talent and air staff.
- Use Mediabase and Billboard charts to determine music changes for WAZY.
- Create new music liners that run before new songs.
- Create and execute all Live Nation concert and show proposals.
- Contact prize winners when tickets arrive from Live Nation.
- Create all imaging and promos that run on WAZY and WYCM.
- Voice and produce commercials when necessary.
- Reconcile traffic logs and verify all spots ran correctly.
- Keep track of prizes and handle prize management.
- Update hot sheets weekly with topics, contests, and promotions for DJ live reads.
- Create TV promo scripts when necessary.
- Create Purdue Sports imaging, opens, closes, IDs, etc.
- Host and produce the Purdue Gameday Show during football season.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
The ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively is essential. Experience with Audiovault radio automation system, Adobe Audition, Photoshop / Canva, Sprout Social, and LandmarkOSI is preferred but not required. Availability on weekends and evenings as required.
